Baby Movements 33 weeks

I am currently 33+2 weeks pregnant and the only real pattern that the little one has is that there isn't a consistent pattern. On the whole he is most active around lunch time and in the evening but he tends to have a few days where he is really active and then a day or so where he hardly moves at all. It has been like this since I started to feel movement but it makes it really difficult to know if there is a problem.

Has anyone else had a similar; and if so how did you comfort yourself that everything was ok? This is my first pregnancy. After a bit of a scare at the start I have been on the whole pretty relaxed about the whole thing; however we have gotten ourselves organised and ready for the arrival and I am so paranoid we have tempted fate...

It might be worth mentioning to your midwife even if just to get reassurance. I have an anterior placenta in this pregnancy so the difference (lack) of the strength of movements really started to get me anxious. I tried a few apps and have settled on the Kicks Count one. I realised I have around about the same amount of movements each day but not neccessarily at the same times and it has reassured me personally but do what will make you feel assured.

I did have the count the kicks app for a while but I am on my mobile a lot for work so found I couldn't keep it totally updated but perhaps I need to try again.

I'm the same! 31 weeks and placenta at the front. I've been in to be monitored a few times with reduced movement but baby is very active on screen. I couldn't feel a lot of it. At this stage the midwife told me that as the baby is bigger I should always feel movement.
I'm the same as you, sometimes very active over a few days and then I end of having to prod and poke her to get moving!!
With my dd, she moved 24/7 so never had any worries,
If you are worried though you should get checked always
