This test was taken 8 days after sex. Is this positive?? I know it's really early to be testing.

Are these known for false positives??

No. You're seeing the shadow of the blue strip that will get darker if the hormones are present. Sorry, but 8 days is far too early.

It's not so much how long it is since you had sex and more how many days since ovulation? I've had 3 bfp's at 9 days past ovulation (dpo) and they were real squinters!

FWIW I don't think you're out... you just need patience, 2/3 days and a first response. Pink dye better than blue.

I think the bottom one is an early but clear bfp personally.

Never invert the colours OP. It's very unreliable. I would test with a pink dye test personally - i found FRER were excellent and if you're getting faint lines on here you should be getting them on a FRER by now with a much darker line. Good luck!
