Pregnant????? I have the coil!

I have the mirena coil I’ve had this for the past 4 years due to come out 2019.
I don’t have regular periods in fact I don’t have any periods.😃
After intercourse Sunday 21st January I’ve been feeling a little different so I decided to take a pregnancy test yesterday 28/1/18 so 1 week after intercourse,
And I think I see a faint line.
Just wanted opinions please

Hi @Curly32 !!! First of all if real .. congrats!! I have a friend who got pregnant on the coil! Do you have a pic? Normally any kind positive is a positive so maybe test again in a few days to see if the line gets more obvious xxx

From what I've heard, a line is a line no matter how faint it is, and of course no form of contraception is 100% effective, so it's definitely possible (even if unlikely!). If it was me I would test again a few days later. I got the digital ones after I originally tested positive, thought there can't be any arguing with the words "pregnant" or "not pregnant"!!!

True.....I will test again on Thursday I think just to be sure.
Just worry’s me as all the stuff you read regarding pregnancy with the coil!

It sounds too early to be positive but you never know!

Also, as a new member of mumsnet (this is your first post) you won't be able to post a pic as the site won't let you till you've been around a while longer.

If in doubt, try a digital test that will literally say the words pregnant or not pregnant.

IF you think you’re pregnant with the coil you need to go to the dr’s tomorrow. The chances of it being eptopic are greatly increased and they need to see you ASAP.

Positive 7 days after intercourse is extremely unlikely. Could it be from early in the month?

You need to see a doctor ASAP incase it’s eptopic.

Hi Op, I just wanted to say, I had a faint positive with the coil, not the Mirena though, but unfortunately it wasn't viable, I didn't have a mc, more a small loss, no bleeding tmi sorry. I still had all the pregnancy symptoms though.

However a few of my friends have had babies whilst using the coil and have been fine, just wanted to warn you. Definitely go to the dr soon.
