green isn't normal, ring your midwife

hertsnessex · 29/04/2007 10:28

it sounds normal, you will have alot more mucus at this time. if you feel uneasy, just call the labour ward or your community midwife.

I'd call your midwife or the maternity ward if you can't get hold of her.

Josie3 · 29/04/2007 10:29

is it definitely green? not an off yellow? Was thinking it could the mucal plug - but think you should ring maternity ward to chat to them tbh

Yes call a midwife immediately. Could be your waters with meaconium in it. Waters should be a pinky/straw colour not green.

Could be nothing but I think you need proper medical advice.

green is most probably the sign of an infection .. and it is normal to have increased discharge towards the end of the pregnancy .. but green should be checked out

From website

'Call your practitioner right away if your water breaks and the fluid looks green or brown, which may mean your baby had a bowel movement in utero'

hertsnessex · 29/04/2007 10:34

do you mean waters leaking or leaking as in duscharge? dont think from the sounds of it its your waters from your first post?

so its mucus rather than leaking waters then.

call them, but unless you have other symptoms, i dont think they will do much, but it may help put your mind at reast.

are you hot/cold or feeling any different to normal?

Ring the day unit/midwife. Could be nothing but they will know. Wouldn't take any risks at 39 weeks !
