Toxoplasmosis in bird poo?

Hi ladies, wondering if anyone knows if you can contract toxoplasmosis through bird poo the same way you do through cat’s? I know they carry it but can’t find out if they pass it on through their poop!

Some horrible pigeon

Oooops posted before I finished!

Some horrible pigeon just used me for target practice and I managed to get it all over my hand. Eugh!

No, it's not passed in via birds.

isn't it old poo that's dangerous?

Most grownups are immune to it anyway.

A thorough handwashing should suffice.

It's fine. Traditionally it's lucky!

Thanks all! Felt like I might be asking a daft question but just wanted to be sure.

Everyone at work’s been telling me it’s lucky too but I must admit I didn’t feel too lucky when it splatted onto me earlier!

@Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar how do you know it can't be transferred by bird poop ? Sorry I'm having the same concerns with bird poop on my car
