Has anyone experienced this? I'm only 4w 1d but I've already noticed more sharp or stabbing pains behind my scar if I move wrong, or sneeze/cough. It's not every time but probably 2-3 times the past couple of days. Is this normal?

Hi, I don't know if it's normal or not; worth checking with mw but I have found I can get a lot of pain around there from time to time. Some Pilates, yoga and swimming seemed to help. I felt pressure too and have developed varicose veins on my vulva Blush - not sure if it's linked or not. again gentle exercise helped a bit.

Weirdly I contacted my midwife about this on Thursday. She said it’s normal. My pain was more internal but along the line of my section scar and was very painful - I’m 16 weeks.

She’s said that if you have a period of rapid growth it stretches everything and scar stretching can be painful.

I’d still give them a call if you’re worried.

Don’t forget you’ll have internal scarring too, it’s not just the visible one.
