5 months pregnant and becoming more conscious of air pollution around me in London, especially on my commute. Anyone also have/had the same fears? What did you do about it?

I am in London too, it is awful but I don't think there is much we can do. You could get an air purifier for when home, I am considering that though less for traffic than other things. Is your commute changeable at all, the tube is especially fumey sometimes.

It's awful! I really feel like there is more to be done, I'm so concerned about what it could be doing to my baby :( Yes i have seen those around, but I get scared of looking odd if I'm the only one using it - if only we could normalise it! I am tempted to buy a mask but again I don't want to look odd and i'm not sure how comfortable that would be. Have you tried one?

I haven't tried a mask. I wouldn't worry about what people think though! Easier said than done I know. A friend who is a medic has air purifiers throughout the house and had found it improved her child's respiratory issues. Changes are needed but as individuals there is a limited amount we can do to protect ourselves in the meantime, it is upsetting.
