15 weeks and so spotty!

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I don't remember having skin problems previously but for the last couple of weeks I have been ridiculously spotty. Don't think I was this bad even as a teenager!
Spots are mainly on my chin which is now a red blotchy mess and my normal skincare routine is not touching it.
I normally get a few spots every month around my period bit nothing as bad as this.
Anyone got any tips for getting rid?

I had exactly the same skin around the 15 mark - never been spotty in my life so it was really heard to try and manage them! My husband told me to wash my face with cheap soap (a trick he used as a teenager) to dry them out - it kind of worked but I wouldn’t say it stopped them developing.

I’m now 18 weeks and my skin has gone back to normal, think it’s just a hormones thing! Oh the joys 😂

It's good to know yours sorted itself out fairly quickly Amber. It gives me hope that I may not be blotchy and spotty for the next few months. Trying to not wear much makeup too in case it makes it worse so not even managing to cover it up well.

Oh my god!! Me too!!! I have great skin usually and the last few weeks it’s been crap. especially around the chin so I too figured hormones. 16 w today and hoping they fade quickly!

Awful isn't it? If anyone knows a miracle cure I need to know!
Really hope this bad skin disappears as quickly as it came.

Have just gone back to the tried and tested. Simple cleanser and toner and astral moisturiser hah. The skincare routine of my teenage years 😊

I had to switch to Superdrug's tea tree range: I now use their micellar water, teatree gel stick thing for zapping any blighters that make an appearance and their moisturiser.

Me too (17 weeks). Someone on here recommended jojoba oil . It works somewhat - not a miracle cure but gently removes makeup and seems to dry up the spots while keeping the skin smooth and moisturized. I have been pleasantly surprised.

Thanks. I've ordered some tea tree stuff so will see how I get on.
