Hello All,

Does anyone know brands/products/chemicals etc which are a big no no for pregnancy?

I've tried googling it and have been left so confused by the endless list of jargon and conflicting info. I've tried contacting my favourite brands directly and they just give the standard response of ask your GP and my GP wasn't remotely interesting in helping/offering any advice at all when I asked.

i'm not sure if it's something I need to be looking at or if everything besides Retinol and Vitamin A is considered safe for pregnancy and i'm worrying too much.

Any advice would be much appreciated x

Caroline Hirons has done a few q and as on pregnancy beauty which are worth reading.

No retinols. You might find that your skin is more sensitive so previous favourites might not agree with you. SPF always when outdoors - you are prone to melasma when preg.

I was told no retinols, and be careful about some essential oils.

I don't use either, so have carried on as normal!

Thank you both of your advice :)

I'm not sure what's a big no no but Liz Earle is safe
I use it so checked it out as soon as I got a positive test! X

Elemis is safe too except for a few products, if you email them they will let you know which ones.
