faint line at 3 weeks.

hi, just did a pregnancy test and got a very faint line. but the line disappeared after 30 minutes. im only 3 weeks by my reckoning but have had a lot of problems getting pregnant and staying pregnant. do you think that this is a bfp or bfn?

When is/was your af due?

I think they say you can't get a flase positive, but a false negative, maybe get a new stick and test again.

a week today. im a namechange im afraid, too scared to use my real one

evaporation line? did you do the test right? also, your wee will have less concentration of hormone at this time

3 weeks, ie one week after conception, so AF not due for another week, no?

i would not consider it BFP yet, just in case...although a faint BFP is a BFP , but shouldn;t disappear

Umm so we all seem to think cautious but wait and test again in a few days.....?

lol im sure i did. it came up straight away but went after 30 minutes. was only faint though

so early to test

you should wait until you are late at least, and do it with first wee of the day

thanks. am still very sick and sensitive to smell but i refuse to test again til later in the week

Could have been an 'evap' line, if it went again - or not! Was it actually pinky, or greyish? 7dpo is a bit early to get a good BFP though.
Sorry you've been through a tough time.

I had this exact same issue. Did a test that was faintly positive but when I went back to check again the line was gone!! Did loads more tests that all said negative but I just knew I was pregnant. And it wasn't too early to test either. Ended up having blood tests and they came back positive. I am now the proud mum of a 4 month old baby boy! So hold in there and go to the doctors for a blood test if you still think you are pregnant. Good luck!!

the line was pinkish, i thought that an evao line appeared after 10mins tho?

i do feel pg, but then i could be just periody iykwim.

If you have no luck with a home test within the next week or so I'd book in to see the doctor. It's amazing how sometimes you can just 'know' that you're pregnant. I don't want to give you false hope but because this happened to me I feel I can be a little more positive!

Hi jinx, just thought I'd add that I read that evaporation lines don't have any colour, they tend to be grey.... good luck

If it was pinky, it wouldn't have been an 'evap'...I know that usually means the ones that appear after 10 mins, but I seem to remember from my obsessive days that sometimes you can get a line that appears as the test is working, then pretty quickly vanishes - sort of the water working its way along the strip, iyswim - or is it just me had those??!!! Anyway I think what you saw sounds hopeful, fwiw! Have a look on www.peeonastick.com, they have a lot of info and I'm sure there's a section on vanishing positives.

Hi i got a faint positive at just 3 weeks pregnant worked out with scan that i got mine 7dpo so is possible i am due in dec,i tested again with cb and cb dig 4 days before af and was def positive

have done another and theres def a faint line, didnt disappear this time though.

i have no will power!
