Hi ladies,

Iv just found out I'm pregnant 6wks 4 days.

I started having a strange discomfort after going for a wee it almost felt like a water infection I went to doctors they said everything was clear. The discomfort started to last for longer after toilet so they referred me to hospital. They made me feel on edge as they didn't quite know what was wrong. (Ectopic pregnancy was mentioned). They eventually give me a scan at 1 in morning and said they couldn't see the pregnancy, I panicked and got sent home to wait for blood results. Iv had phone call today for a scan next week they said the level of hormone units in my blood was 7,000 which was correct for how far I think I am.

However the discomfort is not going, I feel like there is a constant pressure on my right side ( wouldn't call it pain because I don't feel like crying from it) but I can't help but wonder what is going on.

Is this normal ??

I'd request another scan. They should be able to see it at 6+4 so I'd be worried about ectopic.

Thank you.
Iv got a scan booked for Wednesday so fingers crossed I'm praying everything is ok.

The discomfort has changed today to more of a stitch like feeling. So hoping this is nothing serious

I have a daughter who is two years old now and four months ago me and my partner decided we wanted to try for another one so i had the implant taken out sept 2017 and fell pregnant November but 4 days after finding out I started to bleed heavily resulting in a MC which i was devastated about asive never experienced this before. I am now almost 6 weeks pregnant now and I'm worried the same will happen again. Im literally wishing the weeks away until my first Midwife appointment in 4 weeks just to be reassured everything is ok. I keep beating myself up about the last MC because after I found out i still as they tell you to do carry on with your normal daily life. I stupidly went to the gym squatting with heavy-ish weights and a day after was cleaning my car doing alot of bending and awkward positions. I feel this may have resulted in the mc. Now I'm doing literally nothing more than house work as im so petrified. Anyone else had a similar experience? X

I had similar with my first (who is now 5 years old!). 5 week scan showed nothing. 7 week scan showed a heartbeat. The pain was just as you describe. I had the scans as I was bleeding and had pain so it was a suspected ectopic. I hope you get a happy ending.

I think you can be too aware of what is going on without understanding every twinge.

With early pregnancy, you just have to wait it out. No medic is going to intervene in a typical early pregnancy.

IIRC, the first 10-12 weeks felt as if the period could have arrived at any moment (so lots of knicker inspection).

Just be patient.
