Hi everyone.

I didnt find out I was pregnant until 12 weeks.. admitally I was very scared/anxious to even arrange a midwife appt etc. I finally had one yesterday at what I and she thought was 16 weeks. Today i went for a scan to find out I am 24 weeks. Everything was fine and healthy and normal. I cant have any of the tests though which is worrying me alot.

I havent actually told any family or work etc as i still thought I had a while to do this. I am extremely anxious and nervous at their reactions as I have had a negative reaction from my partner.

I feel overwhelmed by everything and really really down. Has anyone been signed off work at 24 weeks for anxiety/depression? Im finding it hard going in and coping.

I suffer with extremely bad anxiety and I'm sorry you're feeling this way as I understand completely. I work from home due to my anxiety being that bad I find it hard to work around other people. Would it be possible for you to work from home with your job? If not you can get signed off sick with anxiety by your GP. Have you ever considered other methods to help deal with the way your feeling?

Hi @mothermnd
Thanks for replying to me.
Im sorry to hear you suffer from such bad anxiety. Its really horrible.
Its not possible for me to work from home as I am a nanny. I just feel extremely overwhelmed by the whole situation and so worried about being judged and leaving it so late to tell people. 😔😔

No matter what people say when you tell them, its not their life and it's not their decision. I just want you to know that no matter how everyone reacts they usually come round sooner or later. Would it be possible to look into getting a jo that you can work from home to do? Why was your partners reaction negative? Big hugs and things really will work out I promise! Congratulations on your fantastic news and it is SO normal to feel scared and anxious! X
