Hi all,

I'm very early (maybe 5/6 weeks) and new to this whole pregnancy thing.

Just wondering when everyone told people?

Did you wait until you were through the first trimester or not?

xx

Told family and close friends at 11 weeks. I would have waited to tell friends at 12 weeks but I was booked on a boozy weekend away that I needed to get out of! I then told my work at 16 weeks.

I didn't post anything on Facebook until after she was born!

We told mine and partners parents straight away, then told my work at about 7 weeks as I was quite sick. Started telling others after the 12 week scan then told 4 year old dd after 20 week scan, with my first didn't tell anyone except partner until 19 weeks!

Close family at six weeks. One trusted colleague at nine weeks because I needed an ally when running off to be sick.

Told work after 12 week scan. Telling friends as I see them.

Absolutely nothing on social media until after baby is born.

Congratulations!!! It's so exciting isn't it?!?! Grin I'm 12 and 2 days with my scan tomorrow and am bursting with excitement. I was pregnant earlier last year and told close friends and Mum and dads and family. Unfortunately that pregnancy didn't work out Sad so I had to let those people know. This time round I've only told my sister and our parents (although my friends have probably guessed by now). Rule of thumb for me is now I only tell those that I'd feel comfortable telling if the pregnancy didn't work out.

Told work about 10 weeks
Dh was told at 13-14 ish weeks
Parents around 16-17 weeks
The joys of military life!!!!

Thanks all!

Yes I'm super excited! My partner knows, and my mum and sister. And I've had to let work know as I'm a contractor. I'm just worrying because and maybe I've told too many peoples?

I'm not posting anything on social media, I'm going to pull a Kylie Jenner 😂

Told a friend who was also pregnant as I needed someone to talk to, and told a friend who I had to cancel an activity with. Otherwise, no one until after the scan. We invited our mums round, separately, so neither one knows who found out first, just saying we'd got something to show them - it was a scan pic. We then told friends on a weekend away as I would be expected to dive into a bottle of wine, and then just told people as we saw them.
