Polyp removal while TTC

I've been TTC for 9/10 cycles, I'm 35. I recently had a private scan and they found a small polyp, they said this could prevent me getting pregnant. I'm going to see my GP in few weeks to hopefully get referred to get it removed. Has anyone had any experience with this? Will the NHS even remove it? Did having it removed help get pregnant? Thanks

I had a polyp removed a couple of years ago. Really simple procedure on the NHS and fast recovery. I conceived very quickly afterwards.

Wow that's great. did you have to wait long between the doctor app and having it removed?

No actually, I remember being very surprised at how quickly the appointment came through. It might be different for different areas though.

I had a largeish polyp removed and endometriosis surgery and got pregnant on my next cycle 🤗

@milney25 that's great, thanks for your reply. I'm hoping they will remove it as it been a long time TTCing without a hint of BFP.

Before my doctor knew about the endo, and was just talking to me about the polyp he said removing it would really help my chances. I suppose it also depends where it's located!
