Hey I am thinking about getting a baby bond sun done on Saturday. I would be 7 weeks. I was just wondering if anybody has had one? How many pics do you get is there the option to buy more images? I was hoping to get copies framed for the grandparents as my announcement. Also at this stage would it be external? Thank you x

I had a 7 week scan at hospital as was worried after pain and spotting and on the scan pictures, you can literally see a dot. It was external.

I'd wait for a later date to get pictures framed for grandparents x

I had a 7 week scan owing to severe cramping and it was an internal scan.

What I saw looked like a bean.

My 12 week scan looked like a potato.

He didn't look anything like a baby until the 20 week scan.

Obviously you should announce any time you like but I'd wait for the 12 week scans for pics.

I had one around that time. It was internal. Couldn’t see a thing on u/s, technician pointed out something that looked like dot. I would secondvwaiting until 12 weeks if you want to share/gift photos as can’t imagine anyone would want a 7wk one?

I had one done at 8 weeks and like others have said, it looks like a bean.

I know it’s so exciting but I did make myself wait for 12 weeks and put one of the scan pictures in a card for my parents to open. I was just so much more confident at 12 weeks that all would probably be ok.

Congratulations!

I had an early scan. not really worth framing this dot!

I had a scan at 7 weeks with this little one and although it was amazing seeing the heartbeat the picture isn’t the best mine kind of looks like a little frog with a halo 😂

Just to add mine was done externally and I got a couple of pics

I had a 7 week scan (with NHS so only got a couple of pictures), it was internal and as other posters have said the baby looks more like kidney bean than a baby at that stage. By 12 weeks it looks very much like a baby so I would wait for that if you want to frame the image.

I've not had a baby bond scan specifically, but I have had several early private scans (for reassurance and due to previous mc). It would most likely be internal at this point. You honestly won't see a whole lot and if we are doing it for good pictures rather than for reassurance that your pregnancy is progressing well, then I'd personally wait until closer to 9-10 weeks. Then what you'll see will look more like a baby. My 7 week scan photos from this pregnancy he pretty much just looks like a little lump of something. But it's still reassuring to know all is going fine.

This was an abdominal scan at 7+1 through baby bond I think we got 5-6 pics with the heart beat info on one 🙂
