Hi all

I've suddenly begun to feel super uncomfortable - it feels like with every meal my belly stretches to the point of bursting. Walking creates gripping pains in my belly so that my usual fast pace has to slow. That's not to mention the ligament pain that's been keeping me awake half the night for the last 3 weeks.

I had terrible trapped wind for a while, but that disappeared when the ligament pain started and now I just can't bear feeling so out of control of my belly, which I normally gently hold in. I have done pilates on and off for years so am very in touch with my pelvic floor and body generally but being pregnant has made me doubt everything I knew!

Has anyone had the same then got to grips with a good pilates instructor or some other physician who's massively helped? My mum has suggested kinesiology. Anyone done that? Not entirely sure what it is...

Any advice much appreciated! Thank you :)

I had gripping cramps at this time and was terrified. Higher dose magnesium was prescribed and the cramps went.
This may not be the case for you. Hopefully someone with Pilates experience can come along and help.
