Due date - confused

Hey I'm currently 21 weeks 6days pregnant. The midwife said I'm due 8th May I worked it out to be June? I asked another midwife who said 8th May. But I just don't see how? Any advice? So confused.

The day your period is late you are classed as 4 weeks pregnant.

If you’re due 8th May that would mean you’re 25/26 weeks preg. Have the calculated that right? Or are you counting your missed period as your first week preg?

I think either your midwife must have made a mistake or you are more than 21/22 weeks pregnant

I'm 20w+5 and due 8th June so if your week is correct you'd be a similar time to me.

When was the first day of your last period?

I've had periods all the way through.
They worked out how far gone I was by a scan
Like I put on the original post I've not worked it out myself midwives have.

Either you have the number of weeks wrong or the due date. What does it say in your notes?

What was the date of your dating scan, and how far along did they say you were at that point? You should have the notes from this

31 May based on you being 22 weeks today. I just went into my calendar and counted forward to 40 weeks

I had my first scan two weeks ago when I found out I was pregnant from this scan they told me how far gone I am and then gave me the due date.
It was then re checked by my midwife hence why I'm so confused..

Surely they can't just get it wrong? I've put my maternity down based on this date they've given me if they have worked it out wrong I'm a month out

My midwife has some how managed to get it wrong before. She's said "so how many weeks are you today" I said. She got her little circle chart thing out and said "so bla bla due date" I said "no, this date" and no matter how many times she turned her stupid guide she couldn't get the right date. And then said "oh, a few days doesn't make a difference"😂 Your due date IS 31/5

Go by the scan dates - that’s what it’s for

I think you should ring your midwife and explain that the dates don't make sense and ask her to confirm.

You should be able to change your maternity leave these things aren't really set in stone.

In your notes you should have a piece of paper from your scan. It will say in it a few measurements and will give how many weeks gestation you were at the time of the scan.

Maybe the midwife mispoke and meant 8th June?

Yes so she still needs to tell the midwife her due date they’ve put down is wrong going by the scan..

Go by the scan. The due date the midwives have worked out is wrong. I am 22 and 1 today and due date is 30th May. If the scan says you were 21 + 6 yesterday, you are due on the 31st of May. Check scan info sheet(in case it is you who has made the mistake with dates), then tell midwives they have made a mistake.

So my comment stands - go by the scan dates as the dating scan is specifically for that purpose

You should be due 31st May if you are 22 weeks today
