Should I be concerned about this pain that has now gone?

Earlier today I had the sudden onset of a pain that gradually got worse and peaked about midday. I am 14+4. It was on left and very very painful, hard to breathe or talk. Like a stitch type feeling (but more painful) which felt like it radiated into back and belly. Paracetamol didn't work even after an hour. I have called 4 midwifes but none have called back and obv it is 5.20pm now. The pain is 90% better now. Do i need to start ringing emergency number now it has almost gone? Is there any problem this suggests?

I am 4+5 and I’ve been having what sounds like more or less the same - awful radiating cramps that feel like I’m about to miscarry! I asked my friend who is a bit further along than me and she had it too. It seems normal: try not to worry (haha I know that’s impossible, I’m worrying constantly about everything!!) congrats and good luck x

Oh sorry I misread your dates as 4+4, not 14... I don’t have direct experience as I’ve never made it this far in a pregnancy before... but I’m sure someone will be along soon to reassure you x

Sounds like round ligament pain to me but I would always call if you're concerned, better to be safe than sorry in anything pregnancy related I feel!

I have called 4 different ones, left them all messages and 2 of them 2 messages. Pain has gone now but really wanted to speak to someone. It's not ligament pain, pain was awful, but guess should be ok as it has stopped.

How're you now well ? I hope you managed to get hold of someone?

Wind? Not meaning to trivialise, but I know trapped wind can cause terrible pain during pregnancy.

No one called back so I hunted one of the team down. They were not concerned. Said wouldn't be baby related and go to GP if returned, which it hasn't so will just keep an eye. Maybe it was wind but why would it go? Still not "been" so might be but blimey, it was off scale!

It could've been an ovarian cyst which has popped causing severe pain but of course after a few hours there would be no more pain. These cysts are harmless and won't affect the pregnancy. If it return it's best to see your GP.
