Uncomfortable after Doppler

Hi, I posted yesterday as had a bit of a scare re movement and baby’s heartbeat.
I was prodded about several times with a Doppler by midwife and doctors and then again at the hospital. Today I feel uncomfortable round my lower stomach/groin area, not in pain just a bit heavy and the occasional twinge. Just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this as well?
Thanks

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

In some of my scans I was surprised at how strongly they prod you!!! But I wouldn’t worry, the baby is well cushioned in there!!

Yeah they do have a good prod, I’m hoping I’ll feel less uncomfortable in a couple of days.

I remember feeling a little tender as they have to press hard but not twinges. Please ring your midwife for proper medical advice.

I’m due to speak to the midwife tomorrow as they want to run through what happened at the hospital so if I still feel uncomfortable then I will ask if that’s why. The twinges are very few and aren’t painful, it feels like normal things I’ve had with baby previously.

I agree they can be rough, for one of my scans I didn’t understand why it hurt so much then read on the report “both ovaries unseen due to gas” which made a lot of sense!

I’d just ask the midwife anyway she will put your mind at ease

I had tenderness after my 12 week scan cos the pushed so hard

Newbiebaby1 · 24/01/2018 19:11

Yeah and I was poked about several times so I think it’s probably that.
I will speak to her tomorrow though just to be on the safe side.

I had a growth scan off a trainee and I was in so much pain after! Baby was okay but it was the stomach pushing and prodding it really hurt and ached for 2 days!

Hopefully it will have settled by tomorrow then 😊
