Sorry I know it's been done. I gor a positive 1-2 last Thursday on a clearblue amongst others. Frer positive on Wednesday. Today clearblue is still saying 1-2 I've done one every day for since Thursday. Im paranoid because I had an early miss before but I thought by now clearblue would have moved on to 2-3?dont know the date of ovulation but these tests aren't that sensitive so I doubt if it would have picked it up any earlier than a few days before 14dpo?
Anyone have any words of wisdom

Stop testing.

Pugsleypugs · 23/01/2018 16:53

Omg, please stop testing! Save your money as that's excessive.

Those clearblues are known to not be as responsive and to stay on certain number of weeks longer than they should.

I know it won't change anything I just can't help but worry

I know waiting is crap but all of pregnancy is waiting and worrying, you can't drive yourself crazy this early. You have so long to go. Get disciplined and stop it now.

I actually think this is making your anxiety/worries worse, not better.

Step away from the tests! I drove myself mad as the clear blue wouldn't move from 2-3 weeks. I'm 24 weeks now and turned out I ovulated twice and had my dates wrong. Honestly, it won't change anything. There is nothing you can do at this stage.

Thanks I know can't change anything. Jusy afraid to get my hopes up. Have to stop testing anyway it's such an expensive habit. I wonder is it all a bit of a marketing ploy.

I HATE these tests. So expensive,NOT reliable and can cause so much unnecessary stress.
I got 1-2 at about 8 dpo a few days later got 2-3.
Tested 5 days after af was due and got a 3+. Due to the tests not staying positive (going blank) after 24 hours the morning of my GP appointment I did another to take with me and it had dropped to 2-3 cue me freaking out thinking I was going to have another mc. GP booked me in at EPU for a scan ( not because of test but previous etopic) and baby was fine and I’m now 12 + 2 weeks.

The range for hcg on the test is so large and is so variable from woman to woman you can’t judge a healthy pregnancy by them.
Eg we could both be 5 weeks but my hcg be 200 while yours is 1000. So these tests would give different results. Nether result means the pregnancy will end in mc but our hcg is rising differently. If you google the levels you’ll see what I mean. Definitely step away from these tests.
Congratulations on your pregnancy
