When did your morning sickness start?

Hi, I'm currently around 5 weeks pregnant. I'm worried because I don't "feel" pregnant yet. When does morning sickness usually start and when did you start getting it? My boobs are also not sore either. I'm just a bit tired but then I'm tired all the time anyway so I'm used to it!
Also the clear blue digital I did yesterday said "2-3", which I know is weeks after conception. But I thought it would be "3+" by now if I am 5 weeks.

With both my boys I never got morning sickness or nausea. Nor did I get sore breasts etc. literally no pregnancy symptoms except a growing belly. So what you have explained, for me, was normal. But obviously everyone is different. I don't think you have anything to worry about. And congratulations☺️

Ahh thank you 😊 I am contemplating going for a reassurance scan but not sure when would be best to do it. I want to leave it as long as possible as don't want to go for one too early, but the wait is also getting unbearable. Can you tell I'm very nervous?

I live in New Zealand and over here we get given a "dating scab" to see how far along we are. With my our second son my dating scan was 6wk 6 days and it was the tiniest little dot in the sack. My friend had her dating scan at 5wk 2days and could only see the sack as she was still quite early. So for re assurance I would wait till maybe 7-8 weeks if possible so you know you will deff see something otherwise you may just worry more!
100% understand the worry though, especially if it's your first?

That was suppose to say "dating scan"😂

BigBaboonBum · 22/01/2018 18:25

First pregnancy about 6-9 weeks I had hyperemisis, second pregnancy I didn’t have it at all, third pregnancy it began around 13 weeks 🤔

AndromedaPerseus · 22/01/2018 18:25

At 6 weeks on the dot with all 3

Watto1 · 22/01/2018 18:26

Wasn't sick at all with any of my dc. I was lucky.

I didn't get any until I was about 9 weeks, and even then it was just nausea - constant, but mild; I could basically just ignore it and power through, and so it was so different to what other women describe that I still don't know if it 'counted'.

I wouldn't have one any earlier than 6.5 weeks, preferably 7, as if you go too early they might not find a heartbeat, which will worry you even though it will probably just because it's too early, not because anything's wrong. Ideally I think you'd hold out until 8 weeks, even better 10, but I understand feeling like you just can't bear the wait.

The Clearblues are notoriously unreliable - but in any case it's right for you, you are 2-3 (ie 4-5 by gestational weeks) pregnant! That's why it's a range - it won't click over to 2-3 dead on the dot of 5 weeks for everyone.

I didn't get any symptoms at all throughout my entire pregnancy (apart from feeling exhausted right at the end!) I hope that's reassuring for you! Smile

Started at 5/6 weeks both pregnancies. Lasted til about 25/6 weeks, pg with daughter slightly worse than pg with son.

You lucky ladies who skipped the morning sickness.
I'm currently 8 wks +1day with my 3rd
The nausea started at 5 wks 6 days have had some morning sickness but at present just getting nausea from midday to time I go to bed. It'seems horrible. Hate feeling sick.

You lucky ladies who skipped the morning sickness.

I know you mean this lightheartedly, but I think it's pretty swings and roundabouts - if you read the threads started by women with no morning sickness a lot of them aren't enjoying it, they're terrified, because everyone tells you all the time that 'it's a sign of a healthy pregnancy!'.

I had three miscarriages before this pregnancy. When I started feeling sick the sense of relief was amazing. I would take basically any physical discomfort over the way it feels to have no symptoms if you already have reason to be anxious.

Sorry to those who had a rough time of it, but another one who was never sick, not really even nauseous. Blush

Didntcomeheretofuckspiders · 23/01/2018 05:44

Started with the sickness just shy of 5 weeks. However I have HG and am now basically incapacitated by it at 8 weeks so would much rather not have it at all!
