Evening all!
I have the dr browns bottles and microwave sterilizer.
Can anyone confirm how long the bottles are sterilised for once microwaved please? I think it’s 24 hours but not sure.
Also, once sterlised, if I put all of the components together and leave them on the side, is this safe?
Thank you!

I don't know what the manufacturer would say, but when my first was a baby, I would sterilise bottles twice a day, so I treated them as safe to use for 12 hours after sterilising if sealed up immediately after opening the steriliser. Realistically, once you open the steriliser, they are no longer 'sterile' but as long as you handle them with clean hands and seal them up completely right away, they are considered safe enough. I never had any issues doing it that way.

I can’t find anywhere in the instructions how long they are sterilised for once I’ve put them together......the website is pants!

i think it’s only about 3 hours but once you’ve opened it to get one put the whole thing isn’t sterile anymore anyway. Milton is so much better as you can leave them in there and dip In and out as required for 24hours with no messing around.

The point of sterilising is to kill bacteria. If you kill all the bacteria and successfully seal the bottle it should stay sterile for ever!
