I’m roughly 5 weeks pg with DC2.

I’ve been having period type cramps for a few days now but nothing that requires any paracetamol. Just been to the toilet and there was some blood Sad it wasn’t a lot at all but I’m panicked.

It could be spotting or you might be having a miscarriage.
If you are really worried go to A&E.
I hope your okay x

Thank you @K9pal7 just waiting for a doctor to call me back. Trying not to panic too much but combined with the cramps It’s hard Sad

It's okay. My sister had same thing about a month towards the end of her previous and it did turn out to be spotting 1st time she's ever had it (this was her 2nd pregnancy)
Hopefully your all okay and hopefully it is spotting.

@ThorsMistress hi - I'm 7 weeks and have had similar happen to me today. The cramping has eased a little the last few days but when I wiped today i had a brown mucus rather than blood. I don't feel like it's anything to worry about as I know spotting is common during the first trimester. Please let me know what doc says xx

The cramps could be totally normal. I had a few 'oh shit' moments. Your uterus has to grow a lot and that hurts!

You've done the right thing to ring x

Try not to panic! I know it is hard. When I first found out I was pregnant, I was spotting brown and red but then it stopped (I thought it was my period coming at first) but realised there was a high chance of me being pregnant.

Then when I found out, I was having constant cramps like I was about to come on my period/felt like I was suffering from a bout of food posioning and it persistently continued until I got to about 16 weeks, then it subsided! I had a bleed at 9 weeks as well and that on top of the persistent cramping it really felt like I was miscarrying but He is now fast asleep in his cot Smile

Thinking of you and fingers crossed! Loads of woman spot a little bit early on but most of the time, it is not usually anything to worry about x

I wouldn't go to A&E. They don't have the facilities to scan you and would just send you home and refer you to EPU. Nothing can be seen on a scan at this stage anyway.

You can call your GP during working hours to see if you can arrange 48 hour bloods - these will indicate whether HCG is rising in line with a viable pregnancy.
