Hi,
I am currently 8 weeks pregnant with my second and feeling awful.
My first pregnancy was a breeze and this one is not Confused
I have nausea 24 hrs a day which gets worse in the evening with heart burn, but I've never been sick. I also have stomach ache along with the obvious tiredness.
I feel miserable and really struggling with keeping this quiet from work and functioning as a normal mother/wife. Is anyone else feeling the same?

Yes! Keep going, it's the worst second time around. I'm at 10 weeks and it's just got better. I thought it would never end... chin up, keep going!

Eek I feel your pain! This is my 2nd, 6 weeks in and I’m nauseous 24hrs a day, today I was sick for the first time! Was eating super healthy before I was pregnant and first week but now all I can stomach is cheese sandwiches - very strange, anything sweet also sets me off. Thinking about drinking makes me gag - before this I adored green tea and fruit teas and would drink loads of water! Also brushing my teeth is disgusting - it makes me feel awful, it’s that taste!!! Fingers crossed it will get better!!! Xx

Ugh brushing my teeth results in such violent wretching! Weird tip: smile and hum loudly and it kid of buys you a bit of extra furious brushing time before the inevitable 'gip'... hideous.

I've started drinking peppermint tea coz I can't stand tea and coffee anymore and sipping lemonade on advice which eases the sickness slightly. I also read earlier that ginger biscuits or candied ginger can help to, il give anything a go right now. Does yours get worse at night? Really hoping it gets better soon.
Have any you told work yet as your feeling Ill? I really don't won't to tell a soul until the scan (which feels forever away) I'm So bloated too. Oh the joys!!! No pregnancy glow here !!!

8 weeks is the worst time, urgh, I feel ill just remembering it. I swear it will pass though.

Winifredgoose10 · 20/01/2018 19:52

I also found 8-9 weeks was the absolute worst point. It will get better, and it is awful trying to go about your normal life. Just take it as easy as possible, go to bed very early etc. It won't be for much longer(fingers crossed).

Hi ladies I am 8 wks +1 with number 3.
Nausea started just before 6wks. Have been sick the odd mornings.
Started with feeling nauseous in the afternoons last wk that lasts until I go to bed. Had a sickness bug over the wkend which was horrid. Now today have felt nauseous since lunch time again and now have heart burn. Great. It'seems getting menough down feeling sick most of the day.

Helen290 · 22/01/2018 20:25

I am 8 weeks 2 days feeling sick most days worse in the morning and evening, it's a struggle to do anything.

Lilmiss0788 · 22/01/2018 20:50

It's so nice to know others are feeling my pain (sorry ladies) it can feel really lonely when being pregnant is a big secret but your really struggling to carry on with normal life x when's everyone first scan? Mines 19/02 feels like forever away. Feeling really anxious until I can finally see a healthy heartbeat 💗

My scan is 23rd Feb.
I had an early scan at 6wks plus 4 so got to see the little heart beat then. Was reassuring. I feel so alone this time round. My partner lives 2 and a half hour drive away.
I had the support of my husband with my previous two. So this is certainly different.
If things go to plan we should be living together just before baby is born.

I hear you! I am 17 weeks now on baby no.2 and breezed through my first. I used to think MS was a myth! You will get better, I have resumed normal life again and don’t feel in a prison by my own body which was how I felt in the first trimester this time. I know time feels like it is going really slow when you feel this rubbish but honestly in a few weeks you will look back and think wow can’t believe I am “so” many weeks now.

I found carrying a piece of fresh ginger about at all times helped me. If I felt nauseous I'd press my nail in to release scent then sniff it and it made the nausea subside

Scoobysue10 · 23/01/2018 06:13

I am finding eating ingredients ginger biscuits helps at times and drinking ginger beer and chewing on airwaves chewing gum. Also drinking really cold drinks helps. X

Helen290 · 23/01/2018 07:58

I have had a 6 week and 8 week both were very good saw the little heart beat on both 🙂, seen the midwife also so I need to book my 12 week scan Friday I am hoping to get it for the 16th of feb 🙂.

Helen290 · 23/01/2018 09:11

Ok today is a bad day for nausea I feel awful so hard to be at work 😩😩.

Scoobysue10 · 23/01/2018 09:22

Thing is I wake up feeling fine. But yes today I am feeling a little nauseous already.
Just want it all to get better.
I am lucky to be off work this wk. But trying to get things done indoors so house can go on the market. Having to push myself to get things done.
Need my magic fairy godmother.

Lilmiss0788 · 25/01/2018 18:50
