Tugging feeling in uterus around 5 weeks, now 6 weeks haven't felt it - cause for concern?

Hi all, I am 6 weeks pregnant (since ovulation, not LMP), and I recall feeling a tugging sensation deep within my lower abdomen, where I would imagine the embryo implanted itself, at around 5 weeks when I got my BFP. I have had similar tugging feelings when I had an ovarian cyst on my right hand side, however this felt different as it was in the middle and lower down, where the uterus would be. However in the last few days I have not felt it - does this mean the fetus has stopped growing? Anyone had the pulling feeling and then it stopped but all was still ok? Thanks in advance. I'm 40 and worried it might be a bad sign....

You don't feel it all the time in pregnancy, just periodically. Everything is probably fine.

Please try not to take your own temperature every five minutes, it won't affect what happens but it will make you miserable. It's stressful, yes, but try to take it one day at a time and know that today you are pregnant.

I am about the same weeks pregnant. I would put this down to your body changing and uterus stretching ? I'm in no way an expert, but if you are fine otherwise I wouldn't be worried & and if you want a medical opinion try your doctor on Monday. I'm sure everything is fine ☺️ good luck

Typical isn't it, you worry when you have pains then worry when they stop!
Your ligaments will be loosening up and stretching also which will account for a lot
of on and off pains and cramps.
Try not to worry or overthink. Good luck.

Hi Joseve. I’ve found that all my pelvic pains have come and gone a lot so far. Had lots of tugging and pulling in week 5 that settled down in week 6, only to return in a slightly different way in week 7.

As a bit of a worrier I’ve read around a gazillion threads on the subject and it’s reassured me that it’s all quite normal. Looking forward to me first midwife appointment next week so I can unburden all my worries into someone who’s heard it all before!

Thanks everyone...you were all right...especially in relation to the tugging being periodical and being worried when there’s pain and then when there’s not! It’s just the nature of the game...it’s a real messing of the head! Waiting, wondering, worrying. I actually wouldn’t wish it upon anyone...except for the good bit at the end ;) Such an emotional rollercoaster, especially for someone with anxiety. It turned out the foetus was still alive and I saw the heartbeat which was the most amazing feeling. So the lack of tugging didn’t mean anything...it just meant it had established itself firmly now! Now for my next obsessive worry...Down’s Syndrome...lord help me, my mind simply won’t allow me to be happy :-/ Thanks all
