No morning sickness, should I be worried?

Hi, I am 6 weeks pregnant and have only had mild nausea, not proper sickness or vomiting. I am 40 and wondering then if this is a sign I will miscarry? Thanks

Nope, I didn't have any morning sickness whatsoever when I was pregnant with my DS. I was a bit tetchy and had some headaches but then it was very hot at the time, my first trimester was a breeze with him. Kept forgetting I was pregnant.

Miz10 · 20/01/2018 12:51

Nope I also had no morning sickness with any of mine

MrsSiba · 20/01/2018 12:52

Nah I had no morning sickness and I am 40 expecting my second. Don't worry, everyone is different. Count yourself lucky. Morning sickness sounds horrendous.

WunWun · 20/01/2018 12:53

I didn't have morning sickness.

Idratherhaveacupoftea · 20/01/2018 12:55

I didn't either.

Squaffle · 20/01/2018 12:56

Me neither!

lifechangesforeverinjuly · 20/01/2018 12:56

14 weeks here and not a hint of morning sickness. I know exactly how you feel but honestly, try not to worry.

mamakoukla · 20/01/2018 12:58

I didn’t either. First three months I was a bit more tired, no cravings during pregnancy either

Neverexpected2 · 20/01/2018 12:58

I never suffered with it in any pregnancy and one of them was with twins.

Shmithecat · 20/01/2018 12:58

I had nausea but not until I was about 10 weeks.

Crocky · 20/01/2018 13:02

I felt slightly sick for one weekend in one of my pregnancies and not at all in the other.

NotBurpeesAgain · 20/01/2018 13:08

It also works the other way round : I was horribly sick at the beginning of my fourth pregnancy and lost the baby at 18 weeks. Being sick does not mean everything is ok.

Bellamuerte · 20/01/2018 13:09

39 weeks now and no sickness at all. Baby is perfectly healthy.

cottagecheesecrumpets · 20/01/2018 13:10

None here either! 26 weeks and had no morning sickness at all.

MissConductUS · 20/01/2018 13:11

I never had any with either of mine. Count your blessings and good luck with the baby. Flowers

Thanks all! I feel tired and craving pizza so there are signs lol but I’m also looking out for the tugging signs in my uterus and haven’t had them for a few days...so now that’s my new worry, that embryo has stopped growing... :-/

No morning sickness here at all either throughout. And symptoms that came and went. It's all par for the course and does not indicate what is going on with the baby. Doesn't stop the worry though! I think 80% get MS to some degree, so that's probably why it's talked about so much. But that still means 20% of people don't get MS!

I dk the evidence base for it but it was suggested to me that there might be a hereditary link with things like MS. I since discovered my Mum didn't have MS with me or any of my siblings.

MissEliza · 20/01/2018 16:30

I had similar symptoms with ds1. I think the first trimester is the most worrying one as you don't feel movement so there's no way to feel reassured. You'll be through it soon. Once your bump grows, you'll start to feel more relaxed.

Miajesse97 · 21/01/2018 11:40

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and not once had any symptoms I only found out I was due to being late on . No sickness no cravings no increased appetite, no sore breasts nothing and my little one is doing fine everyone is different I was worried beyond but not every woman suffers with them ... some of us get lucky

Rumpledfaceskin · 21/01/2018 11:45

Mine didn’t start until 7/8 weeks. You may have it yet. I’m 6 weeks with 2nd and still no sickness but I’m not worried. If I don’t have any within a few more week I’d probably worry but that’s because I know I’m prone to it! Lots of people do not have it at all.

RosieBdy · 21/01/2018 11:45

No morning sickness here for either of mine... With my first I was nauseous over the smell of bananas for a bit (random!) but other than that, nothing...

MyOtherNameIsAFordFiesta · 21/01/2018 12:05

I worried as well, because I had very little in the way of symptoms both times. Mild nausea for a couple of weeks - around the 7-9 weeks mark- and very tired, but otherwise, nothing. Later on, I worried because there wasn't much movement. Then I worried when I felt pain, and then worried again when it stopped.

Everything was fine.

Make sure you go to all your appointments, and listen to what they tell you to keep an eye on (movements, mostly). Other than that, try not to worry!

Linnet · 21/01/2018 12:15

I didn’t have morning sickness with either of my pregnancies. Neither did my mum, so maybe it is hereditary.

Gem173 · 21/01/2018 14:34

Nearly 9 weeks here and no morning sickness ! Ofcourse I worry about it being an issue because I’ve got no symptoms whatsoever! But just think if you aren’t bleeding or having very painful cramps then everything should be going to plan 🤞

Littlemissdaredevil · 21/01/2018 17:01

No sickness here either and I was 37. Had some mild nausea for a few weeks first thing in the morning from about 9 weeks. Baby is fine and is currently attached to my boob Grin
