Yes. It helped to regulate my cycle(ish!). I was never 100% 'regular' but it definitely helped (I went from a 33-50 day cycle to a 33-38 day cycle). It took us a while, but I successfully conceived (currently very early days but so far everything's been fine).

Yes!! I'll try to keep it short.
Tried to conceive for over 5 years, no joy. Pcos confirmed by ultrasound. Wasn't entitled to fertility treatment as dh has a child. Kept being told my gp to keep trying. Dh diagnosed with diabetes and upon reading about metformin realised that it's used for pcos. I asked my gp about it and he said he'd take advice from fertility clinic and get back to me. Few days later he rang, no harm trying it he said, pick up your prescription when you like. I started it and within one month my cycle was regular, I lost weight, and 6 months later was pregnant with my now 5 yo ds. Started taking it again after having him because I wanted to continue with my regular cycles, lo and behold I got pregnant again at 3 months pp. Ds2 is now 4. Definitely speak to your doc about it and definitely give it a go.
Tips are take it with meals and try to eat healthily, I found eating crap while taking it gave me upset stomach.

Yup, tried to conceive for 10yrs and my body didn't tolerate metaformin for some reason so came off it. PCOS diagnoses and had x-ray guided tube clear out and after falling really ill and needing blood etc I fell pregnant naturally in 2014.

Weight loss defo helps infertility and metaformin to regulate.

I'm now 10+6 with baby 2

Yep. Was put on metformin after struggling and being diagnosed with PCOS.
My cycles were really irregular. I had 1 period shortly after being put on metformin then... AF didn’t show up. I was convinced it had stopped working but did a test just to be sure and I was pregnant!
I know I was lucky. It can take time for some people and doesn’t work for everyone but my experience with it was very positive. Good luck op x

Thanks ladies. Going to give my GP a ring and see if I can be put on metformin. Been trying for 3 months. Iv already got 2 boys and would love a 3rd. Diagnosed with PCOS after my second son. Didn't have any problems with conceiving them. Fingers crossed it works!! Smile
