Pain in right side and leg

Hi all.

I’ve posted about this before in other threads but maybe got lost within the other posts.

I have a dull ache in my pelvis on the right hand side it’s travelling down my leg but no further than my thigh. I don’t remember having this with DS. Would you ring the maternity unit? I’m not seeing my midwife for another 3 weeks. I’m about 5-6 weeks along.

It’s in my back too.

Anyone?

Have you had any dizziness? How are you feeling in yourself?

ThorsMistress · 19/01/2018 22:44

No dizziness no. I feel fine. It’s just this dull ache that won’t go. I’ve had it since last night. It’s more painful when I lift my leg up and down Sad

The pain is now worse in my thigh.

I had something similar when I was pregnant about 6 - 8 weeks in, my midwife told me it's probably a bit of sciatica from where baby is growing and things start pushing on things internally

Probably best to ask your midwife or gp if you can

Sounds like pelvic girdle pain maybe? I had this and it started really early on like you. I couldn't lift my right leg and turning over in bed was agony - I would get stuck!

You could call up and ask for a physio appt and they can show you some stretches and how to get around to ease the pain. Maybe a hot water bottle in the meantime will help ease the aches, but I would definitely try to get an appointment or at least let your midwife know asap as the sooner you get it seen to then the more manageable it is.

Hope you feel better soon & congrats! Flowers

Thank you all for your replies Flowers

I’m trying my hardest not to google Blush it’s not a stabbing pain just a dull ache. And only in the one leg. This whole pregnancy malarkey is stressful!

Please keep an eye on your symptoms if the pain gets worse or you start feeling dizzy then contact your doctor. Good luck for the rest of the pregnancy
