Private baby scans?

Hi guys
We're 25 weeks and we really want to get a private scan in about a month. The ones on the NHS are just so short and rushed you never get to really see anything. Problem is I hate the 3D/4D scans, I just want a black and white sonogram video of our girl moving around in there and maybe a recording of the heartbeat (I've seen somewhere who does heartbeat bears and I love them)
Does anyone know of anywhere who does this? All I'm managing to find is 4D ones

They all have the option for 2D, they just switch the mode onto 3D to show you the different type of image. If in doubt just call the company Smile

Have you tried looking on babybond not sure where your based but they have quite a few options of scans and you can book online for your nearest place mine is in a mothercare. pretty sure they do a growth scan that is the normal black and white one but not sure what number of weeks they go up to for it.

I used Ultra Sound Direct (I know it sounds like Sports Direct!) through Baby Bond. It was a really good experience. Its probably individual to the practitioner but I was petrified about there being a problem (literally my legs were shaking) and she handled it really well.

We went to babybond (ultrasound direct), they say 4d scan but you do get just the black and white scan as well, the one I went to was very accommodating so probably would skip the 4d bit if asked and had various options for usb take home things

Where are you based? Anywhere near london?

Shabeth · 20/01/2018 08:55

I'm based in Manchester, haven't seen baby bond yet I'll have to check them out. I just don't want to pay for a 4D scan and not have them use it I know some people love then but I'd rather just to have a health check (FTM and I can't believe how little contact I've had already with the. Midwife and scans, no reassurance at all) and watch her wriggle around on a normal scan until I can see her for real.

I went to hello baby in st. Helens... not far from Manchester. This was apx 5 years agi now so not sure if they are still around but would recommend if they are.

Window to the womb have what you want as well. I suffer from anxiety so every time I get really anxious I pay for a 2D one as they’re the cheapest and I just wanna see baby is ok.

Hi. I used UltraSound Direct in London.
They were good.

They seem to have branches in Manchester
