What were signs of labour?

I’m only 36+5 but have been having some cramps which I’m presuming are just the baby moving down as they’re not constant and just come and go sporadically over the past few days.

But what were your signs, early or otherwise?

Back-ache. I had bad back-ache at the end of pregnancy anyway so just put it down to that. But the twinges started getting regular after a while and I began to time them. Eventually they became strong enough to convince me it was early labour. Same with both labours actually.

My first symptom was several very... erm... free-flowing bowel movements. Then a dull stomach ache that wouldn’t go away and that eventually turned into contractions that got stronger and stronger.

I felt sick all day and bloated. I woke up the next morning in early labour,
With my second I woke up one morning full of energy and feeling amazing!! I went into labour that night
