8 week scan - what will we see?

I've been sent for a scan on Monday and I will be just short of 8 weeks, I only had scans at about 12 weeks last time and you can see the clear baby shape.....

Anyone got any examples of 7+5'ish weeks scan pictures, bit worried we won't see much or it will be alien!

IIRC a pulsing baked bean. Can't remember any shape on DD's early scan at all.

It's still lovely though .

A blob with a heart beat.

My 7 week scan looked like a floating wotsit with a heartbeat. Not much to see at this stage

On my 7 week scan you can see there is a head and a body. Albeit tiny

Yep agree with the others, like a wotsit with a heartbeat! Perfect analogy!

This was my 8 week scan with my now 5yr old x i had one at 7w 2d in this pregnancy but its not very clear x

The heartbeat is the only thing I've ever paid attention to. So yeah... kidney bean with a heartbeat.
