Hi girls currently 13 weeks pregnant and had a water infection since I was 7 weeks. Been on keflex that didn't work and x2 amoxicillin hoping it works this time. Any other ladies suffered from water infections while pregnant. Can I hear your stories x

Not while pregnant but I used to get them allllll the time - every couple of weeks and they were absolute agony! No sleep and couldn’t get off the loo and they were just so painful. it only cleared up when I cried my eyes out at the GP cause I felt like I couldn’t take any more, and he put me on a long term daily dose of antibiotics (6months). He said it was probably never quite 100% clearing up so just coming back each time. They were nitrofurontain which I’m told are safe in pregnancy.

Now that I’m pregnant I thought i might see a reoccurrence, though thankfully not. Get yourself back to the GP and insist on further treatment, they are horrible bloody things!
