3d scan

Hey
Has anyone had a 3d scan, how did you find it?
Thinking of booking for 27 weeks has anyone hd one around that time?

I had a 4D HD Live scan at 27 weeks, it was amazing! If you can find one near you I would most deffo recommend, where is your placenta placed? I'm anterior and was advised to go no later than 28 weeks as placenta gets in way of baby's face on the scan, we struggled at some points to move him away from mine so wouldn't leave it much later although I do highly recommend! Xx

I had a couple as part of 16 week gender scan. I'm not that keen, makes the babies look a bit weird. But I think that's less the case as they get bigger and their faces fill out.

I had one as part of my gender scan at 16 weeks, and I agree that it was a bit weird. My poor little man looked more like an alien. Ha ha. I was advised though that 16 weeks was very early and the images wouldn't be great at that point.

So we have re-booked another scan for this Sunday, when I will be 27+3. When I called to book, they advised anytime after 25 weeks is best for the 4D scans.
2 of my friends have them last week too (one at 30w and one at 26+1 and both their images were really good and detailed.)

We are having it with Baby Bond, who have done my other 2 private scans and have been fantastic.
So fingers crossed.

@ClareB83 I also had a preview at my Gender scan and said I wasn't going to have another as I really disliked the way he looked on it!

Although partner talked me into having the HD live at 27 weeks and i am so so glad I did it. (Will post photo on thread when finally allowed - new user )

I was amazed at just how clear they are and was amazing to see him on the video xx

My friend had one about her due date and it actually looked like a baby. Not like my two little aliens!

I have booked one for next Saturday😁 with ultrasound direct, baby bond.
Will be 26+6 then!
My placenta is posterior and was low lying at my 20 week scan hopefully they can tell me if it’s moved at all then, do have a scan for 32 weeks for that tho.

I've had them done but waited until I was about 30 weeks. That way, the baby looks less alien 👽 like but there is still enough room for them to get baby to wriggle about.

I had one at 31 weeks with DS and yes they look odd! It was a lovely thing to do though and he came out looking like he did on the video. Not sure if I’d do it again this time round...

I had mine at 28 weeks and it was an amazing experience.
The one attached is of bubba yawning.

We had a 16 week scan with babybond to find out gender. We’re having a little princess! She turned on 4D so we could see her... one of the images is so amazing I’ve framed it and put it next to my bed. I feel so close to her now I’ve seen her. Would totally recommend.

When are you due?

It was absolutely brilliant couldn't believe how clear they were! His daddy got a little excited when he looked to be in stance with fists up 😂 (daddy's a boxer). I'm due April 6th xx

We did! It was fab-I was glad we got it done. Pictures were bloody freaky but it was so lovely to see him/her again I didn't care!!

Scan went well thanks @Poppy012. I would deffo recommend it. Even though little man was playing up a bit (as he always does at scans) and we were there about 90 mins trying to get him to budge.

Made a mistake by booking it in the morning though, as he is definitely not a morning baby at the moment.
Looked very grumpy due to us waking him up, and then hid his face under his little hands. Ha ha.
We still managed to get a few good pics before he went camera shy and so glad we did it.

That 1st pic is amazing @Shaunieh95, he does look like he is smiling away. And I think Daddy might have another little boxer in the making there, judging from the 2nd pic. So sweet :)
