Hi

the midwife came round and did her bloodpressure and its too high (usually around 75 was 95) and combine that with her swollen feet =

so shes going into hospital at 2 today to be monitored and have BP taken again.

Homebirth isnt looking good & shes scared.

MW said last week someone went in to be monitored and was induced!! i hope they dont do that

on a positive note they said she can have domino delivery and I can be in the room too

we dont know for sure whats going to happen, but please wish us luck

excuse my spelling im typing super fast her as i have to sort out stuff for my sons as MIL is picking them up in 5 mins so i can go Hospital with sis

lulumama · 27/04/2007 13:15

if she is showing signs of pre eclampsia, she should be in hospital
best of luck x

just got back

they took blood and but her on a machine to be monitored for an hour - and the babys heart

her blood pressure was taken 6 times during that time and was brilliant - not high at all!

the bloods came back and were fine

and whilst she was on the monitor started to get contractions (the first time shes felt regular tightenings)

so the homebirths back on as long as when she DOES go into labour her BP is ok

that is good news, is she your older or younger sister??

i wanted to be with my sister when she had her baby, but she lives down south....great you can be there for her!

misdee · 27/04/2007 16:43

oh thats good

and can i ask about SIl and MIl situation?

kittylette · 27/04/2007 16:43

thanks

shes my little sis (18)

i keep crying coz im so happy/excited/nervous!!

im wondering if the midwife got her BP wrong on the home visit though as it was so high and she did it manually - yet the machine showed a really good BP
