Mucus plug

Hi, I know the bloody show is a sign of labor, but what if you loose your mucus plug that has no blood in it? I’m 38+6 and just went to the toilet and when I wiped there was a huge clump of snotty discharge (sorry tmi) is this a sign or could it still be a while?

It could be either I'm afraid! I was losing mine for 4 days but still has to be induced. I don't think it has to be bloody though for things to start on their own.
