Hi everyone, a few days ago I took two of the equate pregnancy tests and found out I was 3 weeks & 5 days pregnant. This morning (im about 4 weeks) I woke up with some light cramping and heavy-ish bleeding. I say “heavy-ish” because it’s definitely more than spotting, but not as heavy as my normal period. Has anyone else experienced heavy-ish bleeding this early in their pregnancy? My cramps are so light and only come a few times an hour. Could I be having a miscarriage? This is my first pregnancy and I’m very worried!

No knowledge on this but hand hold. Someone will be on here soon, some early risers. Keep laying down and as relaxed as possible. Thinking of you.

Just to add, some people bleed at the time of their normal cycle and all turns out ok.

I'm so sorry OP. It could be a miscarriage or it could be fine. It's a wait and see game for you as I think even EPU won't see you until 6 weeks.

Bleeding can be OK. I bled loads at 9 and 11 weeks and the babies were absolutely fine both times (currently 21 weeks with two little kickers), but I had no cramps/pain just loads of blood.

Sorry, I have no advice but hope all is ok. Xx

Sorry this is happening. Get lots of rest. A lot of women still get they're first period when they're pregnant so try not to panic. You could call your gp and ask to get your beta hcgs checked, you have 2 blood tests at least 48 hours apart to check that the levels are increasing. Hope it stops soon.

you are still so early, i didn’t even realise you could find out at 3 weeks 4 days. Very sorry to say this but you could well be having a miscarriage or chemical pregnancy. i know the feeling of dread so well and it’s horrible. i’m not sure what you can do except wait and see as the early pregnancy unit (in my area anyway) only scans from 5 weeks.

Hello, I found out I was pregnant on 8dpo so around 3 weeks and a few days, on 14 dpo (the day my period was due) I began to bleed!!!!!! I freaked out and ran to a&e and he told me his test was negative!! I got hom and took more tests and my line was stronger than the day before. The bleeding settled that night but the cramps and pains were bad but looking back now I think maybe I imagined them because I truly believed I was miscarrying.... the next day I went to see my gp and she ran bloods and my hcg was 90.... which she said was low but I know it’s not for 15dpo. So a week later she ran more bloods and my hcg was over 4000 so I went for a scan and things were ok for 5 weeks. Iv bled on and off and had multiple scans and no cause has been found. I bleed after sex so avoid sex and I bleed for no reason too. I’m almost 15 weeks now and all is well.

Oh @Nikki2ol6 that's horrible. I had lots of bleeding inc the two big ones I mentioned above. It all stopped around 16 weeks and I think it does stop for a lot of people by 20 weeks, so hopefully it'll be better for you soon.

Have a look at chemical pregnancies op, shitty and cruel, have had 3 and you learn to get hardened - the ttc lark is turbulent.

@nikki2ol6 I called my local hospital and they told me to take another test, if it was positive they wanted me to come in and if I was negative then it was most likely a miscarriage. Unfortunately the test came back negative:(
