Sorry total TMI but mucus plug or bloody show related !

Had a sweep yesterday and tried sex to see if it helped things along but I had some pain and had to stop.
Afterwards I had a fair bit of pain and then lost a load of very dark bloody gunk. Very thick and very dark almost black. Probably around a tablespoon worth.
Nothing today then had sex again (really want the baby out!) And now getting what looks like the plug, jelly mucus stuff with red streaks in. Very different to yesterday so not sure if it's all because of the sweep or if one was bloody show, one mucus plug or all one thing in two lots?
Sorry not a nice subject matter and I am symptom spotting out of desperation!

Not sure about the darker blood but the blood streaked mucus sounds definitely sounds like a show. Could you contact your midwife team at the hospital and ask them? Might be a good idea to ask them about the dark blood, especially as there was a lot. I’m not an expert at tall so please don’t be worried by me saying that - just think it’s best to check if you’re not sure.

Thanks I did try and ring them today but answer phone was on. It had stopped too by then and she did say blood was fine as long as it wasn't running down my leg amounts so i had assumed the dark stuff was mucus plug as it was so thick. Sort of fibrous.
Today it could be a show then! I think that's a good sign as it's different to the plug?I know I won't know till my waters go or contractions so trying not to get my hopes up!

My mucus plug was all very, very dark in colour but there was SO much of it. I lost a fair bit and thought that must be it but a few hours later enough to cover my entire hand came out.

Bloody show is just another term for mucus plug. Good luck!

Ok thanks I thought it was two different things and only the show meant labour was near. Mind you now it's all stopped again and I've only got mild pains most likely more BH - I am going to stay pregnant forever!

Awake since 4 due to blocked nose and usual constant bathroom trips. I'm now h
having very mild period pains and have got up to make a raspberry leaf tea. Just can't sleep for thinking is this it!I need to get up with my other kids in an hour and face another day of nothing happening I expect but can't help getting hopeful at every twinge.

Mild period pains here and more gunk. I'm very tired but is there any truth in the whole go for a walk thing? Despite really bad hip pain I would do pretty much anything!
