Morning all.

Know how you love a live thread. Pretty chilled out.

It didn't happen this way with my first. They were busy preparing for him to come in his sack.

Just having a cup of tea and a bit of porridge and waiting to see what happens next

Haha! That is an odd response! Any contractions yet op?

My waters went before anything else, movie style.

Shehz21 · 16/01/2018 08:33

Wooo exciting!! How are you feeling so far OP?
Haha about the curry. That response would be more appropriate if you were overdue so as to help bring on labour?Grin

TeddyIsaHe · 16/01/2018 08:35

Do made endless sandwiches when I went into labour 😂

Good luck op!

Neolara · 16/01/2018 08:37

WishUponAStar88 · 16/01/2018 08:37

Ooh exciting! Hope contractions start for you soon and you have a smooth labour ... good luck!

WishUponAStar88 · 16/01/2018 08:38

Maybe phone your ward though? Some like you to get checked over when your waters go even if they seem clear

Ekphrasis · 16/01/2018 08:41

Fabulous!

Yes I'd double check with the ward though. Good luck!

Sunshinegirl82 · 16/01/2018 08:41

Good luck OP! I would call the labour ward as they like to check you over once waters have gone and keep an eye on things due to the increased risk of infection.

Prusik · 16/01/2018 08:52

He is making me laugh. He's like "I need to clean my van and pick up my new car. I need to go to asda"

This is second baby and last time I sent him off to work for the day. If we didn't have ds I'd send him off today too as he only works half hour away.

Things are ramping up quicker than they did with Ds but it's only really a few period pain niggles that I'm feeling along with the odd tightening.

Labour line said they might get me in later to examine me but I'm hoping for a home birth and do feel like things will progress so don't really feel the need at the moment. She just said call if needed

endofthelinefinally · 16/01/2018 09:06

Be prepared.
My second labour ramped up very fast. 2 hours from first contraction.

Prusik · 16/01/2018 09:11

2 hours is pretty hardcore. I was 36 hours from first niggle with Ds but it was pretty uneventful until the last 8 hours or so
