Constant nosebleeds driving me nuts!

I'm 23 weeks and pretty much getting daily nosebleeds at the moment! Of all the symptoms that I thought I would get this wasn't one of them Hmm pregnancy, so full of surprises!

I've had some quite big streaming ones (maybe 4 or 5 in the past month or so), but it's mostly small ones that I only seem to notice when I can feel something tickling the bottom of my nose, if that makes sense? These seem to happy on a daily basis, which is always great fun for meetings at work...

Mentioned it to my midwife at my last appointment and she just said it was normal and left it at that... Has anyone else had this and if so, how did you deal with it (aside from constantly having to run to the bathroom and putting copious amounts of tissues up your sleeves)? Did anything at all help?

Hi @Kittypillar , I have no useful tips apart from treat your nose like it's made of delicate glass (!) but just wanted to empathise! I'm only getting them weekly at the moment (I've had them every week for the past 6 weeks, am 15 weeks). Did yours get worse as time went on?

I've also heard they're common - 1 in 5 pregnant women - but nobody else seems to be aware of this (which is just as well as I kept having them randomly before announcing my pregnancy!). Really embarrassing at work, plus the carpet is cream Blush

I've had a couple of bad ones, but mainly just blood when blowing my nose. I was getting very blocked up overnight which was causing it. I got a humidifier for the bedroom which is helping. Not sure if yours are happening for the same reason though?

Aaaah I hadn't thought of a humidifier for the bedroom @BlueRaincoat89 - the bigger ones have seemed to happen in the morning so that might help! Thank you :)

@Heregoeseverything unfortunately they have got worse, at least in the last few weeks :( really hope that isn't the case for you. And I totally sympathise, I've managed to bleed on my office carpet as well Blush that wasn't a good day! It was strange because the first one happened when I was flying somewhere for work at 7 weeks pregnant and had thought it was just the air pressure - wishful thinking!

In terms of managing bleeds ice is good - a couple of ice cubes wrapped in a t-towel is good. I have tried with just a tissue but found it just too cold. (I have experienced far too many nosebleeds.)
