Hey ladies! Like the title says, when did ms start and if you're past it, when did it end? I seem to have forgotten how long it lasted in my first pregnancy and how soon it set in.
TIA 🙏

Nausea from 5 weeks
Morning sickness from 6 - 7 weeks... hasn't stopped yet and I'm 20 weeks on Tuesday

ArfInch · 14/01/2018 10:22

DC1 - nausea from 6 weeks, was really awful from 9-16 weeks, subsided and then went completely by about 18 weeks.

DC2 I wasn't so lucky. Nausea from before my period was even late Sad. Then had hyperemesis until about 24 weeks, although thankfully it eased after that.

DS1 from about 4 weeks, thought I had a stomach bug then when I was still feel grim after a week it finally dawned on me that maybe I should take a test. Blush Lasted until about 13 weeks. All a bit of a shock as with DD I'd had no sickness.

With DS2 about the same though I'd already tested this time. But lasted longer until about 16/ 17 weeks.

No sickness or even nausea the first time round.
This time nausea started from 5-6 weeks with the odd bout of sickness but more or less stopped a couple of weeks ago. I'm now just 12 weeks.
I have certainly been lucky though compared to lots of people.

Bellamuerte · 14/01/2018 11:34

I've had no nausea or sickness at all. Occasionally felt a bit bleurgh between weeks 6 and 12 but that's all, and that might have been due to the hot weather rather than the baby.

Nausea 5 weeks, sickness 8 weeks (but was already on cyclyzine for 24 hours a day nausea by that point). Last vomited 15 or 17 weeks (not sure exactly), nausea never gone away completely (now 37 weeks).

molifly · 14/01/2018 11:49

Nausea from 9 weeks ish but sickness started at 12 weeks ended at around 20

Fakingit36 · 14/01/2018 12:04

Nausea from 6 wks. Never actually threw up but nausea pretty bad around 8-10. Now at 14 and mostly gone but seem to have patches when it returns. I realize i’m lucky.

Olive1988 · 14/01/2018 12:08

I am 7 weeks and nausea has been awful. Can only eat crackers or potatoes. Smells make me gag. Even the pregnacare vitamins I usually throw up in my mouth and have to swallow as I know I need to take them (sorry TMI). I really really hope this subsides by week 12, I couldn't do this the full term so I am equally interested in your post xx

Mine kicked in before I had a positive test result and lasted for nearly all of my pregnancy. I had a 4 week reprieve in my second trimester but then it came back with a vengeance. I had awful heart burn too which seemed to set it off. I found eating savoury, salty things helped and drinking sparkling water. But in the end I just got used to being sick most days and feeling nauseous most of the time. Most of my friends found it only lasted for the first trimester though, so I think my experience is definitely not the norm! Good luck with your pregnancies. You'll forget all about how rubbish you felt once it's all over. I'm already planning number 2!

Fakingit36 · 14/01/2018 13:24

I think the more it goes away for people the less they talk about it on here (for obvious reasons) so I think looking on here you can get the impression that it’s more common for it to go on longer when actually it’s more common for it to ease off. So so sorry to those for whom it’s stuck around - it’s horrid.

DS / first child around 7wk - 13wk

DD / second child around 7wk - 16wk

DS / third child from 5wk and I was sick again last week at 27 wks

UnitedKungdom · 14/01/2018 13:47

5.5 weeks x 3.

DramaAlpaca · 14/01/2018 13:59

I didn't have morning sickness, I had all day sickness, and in all three pregnancies it didn't start to ease off until 20 weeks. It started at different times with all of them - 9 weeks, 5 weeks and with DC2 12 weeks, just when I stopped breastfeeding DC1.
