HORMONE LEVELS

Hi Everyone.

Just got positive yesterday (4 weeks) after ivf and levels were 254.7. Does anyone know what this level means?
They said that they were looking for a minimal of only 25!!????

Congratulations! I think that the levels go up very quickly in to the thousands so I wouldn't read too much in to it being so much over 25. Tomorrow they will probably be double that! I presume you are talking about HCG levels?

it's not the level itself that's important (although 25 is the "cut off" they normally use for a positive) but how often the level doubles. It should normally double approximately every 48hrs in the first few weeks of pregnancy - are they testing you again?
