Hello, I’m currently 41+2 with my first baby. I’ve had two sweeps this week, the first was not successful as the cervix was fully closed, the second I was dilated 0.5cm so again the midwife was not able to perform the sweep properly. She has said that I am 100% effaced and that the baby’s head is very low and that my labour will be ‘favourable’ whatever that means??
I am booked in to be induced on Monday and really hoping it doesn’t come to that. I’ve been getting very mild period pain since the last sweep (yesterday afternoon) and some bloody / brown tinged discharge (sorry!), but nothing to make me think things are going to start any time soon.
I’m literally going stir crazy!! Has anybody else had similar experiences or have any advice? I’ve tried all the typical natural induction methods with no success ☹️ Any advice would be great, thanks!
