Was in hospital wed being monitored and showed (as well as felt) i was contracting. They not totally painful more like bad period cramp. An internal though showed no dilated. Lo is fully engaged also. Was sent home and ever since iv been contracting as well as having milder BH. Tomige i decided to time them, mainly for my peace of mind, to see how often and many im having. Thing is i dont know whether it b worth getting back in touch with l&d just yet or if they could b just bad Bh. What is others experience?? Iv never really experienced labour as always got to full dilation without contracting b4. Am currently 34 weeks

It's a tricky one. Do you have fast labours? What are your usual symptoms of being in labour? Do the pains change if you get up and go for a walk? Are you concerned about baby's movements? Do you have a 'feeling' that it's time?

Labour on my third was a bit like that. I was having bh like yours for days (weeks), but after going in a couple of times I swore I wouldn't go back until my waters broke. When it came to D-day, I started to sense something was different. Pains weren't worse or longer, but I felt different - I can't explain it. After a couple of hours wondering what to do, I decided to drop my older kids off with my mum and head in. Still wasn't really sure. Baby was born 40 minutes after I arrived. Waters broke about 2 mins before she was born, so I'm glad I didn't wait!

This is my 4th but 16yrs between my youngest. On my eldest i was 7cm without contracting and was only discovered because i felt pressure had a feel and could feel his head. Had waters broken and had him within 20 mins. He was born 35wks. My middle boy also spontaneous labour, didnt know i was dilated to 6cm until checked at appt he came at 32wks and was induced on youngedt at 36wks never really had pains until pushing so this all new to me. When i move around they seem to get a lil more intense and im getting a lot of pressure from pelvis area and underneath with each 1 also. Didnt help i came over all nausea's earlier too

Given that history of fast, premature labour, I would go in. Just make sure to clearly explain your history to everyone you meet so they see you quickly!
