I’m 20+6 and haven’t felt any movement, well not that I’m aware of.
We had our scan Friday and he was moving around and all ok.
Just wondered when you all felt movement and how you recognised it?

Hi @Newbiebaby1, I first felt mine at 21+2, I had my scan the day before and was told I had an anterior placenta so movements can be cushioned because of the placenta being at the front. I knew it was movement because it was two very obvious kicks. I have felt him everyday since, however I get a rolling sensation rather than butterflies like most people describe. Did they say where your placenta was positioned? X

Is this your first? Do you know where your placenta is located?
Mine is at the front so I started feeling movements last week at 20 weeks. Now at 21 weeks I can feel her moving more.
With my first, the placenta was at the back so started feeling him move around 16 weeks, like small bubbles.

It will be like little flutters in your lower tummy. They will be so subtle. I likened it to a butterfly inside me brushing up against my insides.

I have a low placenta, don’t know if that makes a difference. Have to have another scan at 34 weeks because of it.
They did ask if I had felt movement and didn’t seem to be concerned when I hadn’t.
This is my first so wonder if I have felt something and not realised. Had a couple of was that movement moments but not very regular.

Just over 20 weeks but they were very slight, 21 weeks now and he’s beating me up from the inside! It’s gone from one extreme to the other lol. I have a low lying placenta (which is hopefully moving up!!!) so it doesn’t cushion my movements... maybe I’m just in kick denial. I remember with my second I only accepted I was feeling kicks when I could feel them on the outside, ha 🧐

BigBaboonBum · 11/01/2018 20:38

At least I don’t think low placenta cushions them

Newbiebaby1 · 11/01/2018 20:40

Hopefully I will soon then Smile

22 weeks :) Anterior placenta so took ages!

pumpkinmamma · 11/01/2018 21:24

I started to feel things at about 20 weeks (first baby) then had my scan at 20+2 and saw bub moving so could make a bit more sense of what i was feeling. 23+3 now and described the movements as “kittens in a pillowcase” to my friend Grin even with anterior placenta the movements are fairly strong.

LittleFox01 · 12/01/2018 06:39

@pumpkinmamma, you are due the day before me Smile

Newbiebaby1 · 12/01/2018 08:13

Ok thank you all. Guess I could be missing the movement
