Hi,
I’m 34wks, and baby is currently breech with feet down. Is there anything I can do to help her find her way into position?
Thank you!

Acupuncture is worth a try.

Spend time on your hands and knees, anything with your knees below your hips. If you spend any time slouching back on a sofa, stop immediately!!

Look at spinninhbabies.com

spinningbabies.com sorry

I am a physiotherapist who also does acupuncture. To turn a breech baby, we would use a moxa stick to warm the outer edge of the little toes . A hot water bottle does the job just as well, done regularly from 34 weeks should encourage the turn.
Echo the previous poster about your position as well, no slouching!

I did handstands in a swimming pool which was supposed to help. I know it sounds obvs but you have had an actual scan? Only because I was told right up to 36 weeks that dd was breech. When I had scan she wasn’t (she definitely didn’t turn either, she’d been head down all along they just got it wrong), then born 2 days after that so I was totally unprepared for vb!

Thank you! Had a scan last week and definitely breech, guessing she still is as I can feel her head where it was before and kick areas are the same. But can’t be 100%. Being scanned at 36 wks to check again.

Some fab suggestions, thank you!

Loads of time left yet. Mine was breech right up to the day I was induced. Ment to have a c section and baby flipped so was induced instead.

Ditto what jess says - with ds floor was never so clean!

Flicketyflack · 10/01/2018 17:05

Hands and knees or yoga (google moves) 😉

SleeplessInSc0tlNd · 10/01/2018 17:06

@outtheretoo there are a lot of videos on YouTube showing ways you can turn a breech baby. A favourite of mine was lying upside down on an iron board propped u

SleeplessInSc0tlNd · 10/01/2018 17:08

Propped up against the sofa. Hmm not easily at 8 months pregnant!!
Put cold things on the bottom of your stomach to try and get baby to move away from it. Do you a pregnancy ball, bouncing on that can help.
Also just remember that sometimes breech babies just don’t turn, no matter what you do. My DS was breech from 28 weeks and didn’t budge at all, despite all my best efforts.

I turned baby at 36 weeks - did shoulder stands against the wall, used spinning babies, tried rubbing myrhh on my belly and took pulsatilla for a couple of days. The Facebook breech birth uk group had lots of advice. Good luck!

Newmummytobe2018 · 11/01/2018 16:08

Get on the excersice ball and start bouncing worked for me! 30 mins a day or more if you can handle it. Aches the back of your legs a little
