When you saw bra area do you mean your back or chest?

TheVanguardSix · 10/01/2018 12:51

Also have you tried straight-forward Gaviscon liquid? You can take as much as you like in pregnancy.

TheVanguardSix · 10/01/2018 12:52

saw= say

Sandra800 · 10/01/2018 12:56

At the front middle or off to the right? Only asking because I had chronic gallstone pain, and the doctors fobbed me off with indigestion. The pain is usually front right, but mine presented around the back Neal area. Pregnancy can trigger gallstone pain.

MissTFied · 10/01/2018 13:01

*back BRA area, not Neal...

Just to add, now in late pregnancy and suffering from heartburn, and know the difference. The heartburn literally burns and I am on Omeprazole for it. Nothing touches the pain of gallstones, morphine helped a bit, but not completely. I had to demand an operation in the end to remove the gallbladder.

It's ok... It's on the Center... Iv attached a picture that ex actually where the pain is xx

That probably is heartburn then. Start guzzling the Gaviscon then move onto meds from the GP if it is still persisting.

thingymaboob · 10/01/2018 13:33

The gaviscon tablets are much better than the liquid in my opinion. Omeprazole is a lifesaver. I've been on that since 14 weeks!

Carbohol78 · 10/01/2018 14:14

I used to swig gaviscon from the bottle, immediate relief and the only thing that worked for me. Is miserable to suffer it :(

MotherOfBeagles · 10/01/2018 15:22

I had it so bad throughout my pregnancy I couldn't eat and by the time i was full term had only put 2lbs on total. Despite multiple trips to the GP they didn't give me anything more than gaviscon. Until my OBS prescribed me ranitidine. It was a life saver! If it doesn't get any better don't suffer, push for something more

Sandra800 · 10/01/2018 15:34

Thank you'll adore xx

I'm afraid to say it gets worse in the third trimester. I have a huge bottle of gaviacon on my bedside table and just drink straight out of the bottle. Blergh. Four weeks to go for me. I detest the taste but it does do the job.

Howsthings1234 · 10/01/2018 16:11

Ps I found it eased off in the second trimester before coming back with a vengeance so you might get lucky for a few weeks!!

Sandra800 · 10/01/2018 16:49

ranitidine 150mg that's what they have given me from the Docters. Is this something you have guys have heard off

I took omeprazole when I was pregnant and it cleared it right up. Go back to you doctor and ask for something else. Don't prescribe yourself x good luck, I remember how horrible it was

RosieCotton · 10/01/2018 17:20

I've been on omeprozol for years due to reflux, it is the life safer! If I miss it for a day or two my heartburn is a killer. Ask your doctor about it. Honestly it's the best

Sandra800 · 10/01/2018 18:08

That's what the docter have prescribed me. X
