30weeks and really struggling with pain and pressure down below - is this normal? The girls at work say I should contact midwife to see about getting a belt or something to help with the pressure...

I’d definitely contact your midwife - when I saw mine and she saw I was limping due to pain she referred me for physio. I’ve been given exercises to do which are helping!

It could be SPD. Google the pelvic partnership which is a website with good advice. I think you'll struggle to get worthwhile physio on the NHS in good time because of the waiting list but the pelvic
Partnership have a list of good
Private physios on their site.

Physio referral was quick for me (which I 3 weeks over Xmas period) i think they speed it up if your pregnant

I agree that it sounds like the start of SPD. Go to GP and get a physio referral, I was put down as urgent and was seen within 3weeks, this was xmas last year. I had this with DS2, it began with feeling like I was dragging my leg and then I couldn’t sit down due to pain in hips. Speak to your midwife, some units can supply support belts and have a direct access to woman’s health physio which is quicker. Maybe have a look in mothercare or online for a support belt in the mean time.
