Bleeding today and scared :(

Have started bleeding quite heavily today with mild cramping and a strange fluttering feeling went to my local hospital where they did a urine test and because of nitrates told me they suspected a urine infection and have sent me home to rest ,asking me to see my doctor in the morning for possible course of antibiotics. Have passed a small clot .This all started about mid afternoon. Bleeding has now tailed off to spotting and I have a heavy feeling in the top of my legs but no more pain. Hospital told me as its early they will wait to scan.
Back home now worrying like hell and feeling quite emotional. Know its very early but still very upsetting .
Going to my doctor first thing tomorrow. Has anyone been through this and everything been alright? Grasping at straws .Just don't want to give up hope quite yet.

How many weeks are you? I had two bleeds. One at 6 weeks and one at 10 weeks. Both were clotting but the 6 weeks one felt awful...had cramps. Convinced myself it was MC but internal scan proved otherwise couple of days later. I'm now 26 weeks pregnant with a little mover. When have they said they'll scan you? It's the waiting that is awful. My midwife said to me that early pregnancy bleeding is not normal but very common. Have everything crossed for you x

I had heavy bleeds at 9 and 11 weeks. Babies were fine both times. Like pp said it's very common to bleed in early pregnancy, it's just not something you hear about until it happens to you. Hugs.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I think I am around the 6 week mark. Tested positive just before new year have not told anyone yet just my partner. Have doctors appointment for Monday to be referred to the midwives but after what happened today I walked into emergency dept at local hospital and saw a doctor there he advised me it was to early for a scan , and to see my own doctor tomorrow .Cramping has stopped and bleeding tailed off a bit but was quite heavy at first ,that's what's worrying me.
I think I am going to ask for a scan .I'm really worried , your post has given me some hope though.
Am trying to chill out and not worry but its hard .I read that too much caffeine is bad and I'm totally addicted to tea just want a cuppa !
I guess its now a waiting game . See what like in the morning. I just don't feel quite right. Thank you !will let you know the outcome .

It's so hard not to worry. And any sign of bleeding is so scary but it doesn't always mean the worst. I think i was in between 6 and 7 weeks when I had scan. It was internal as I was so early. I contacted the EPU rather than my dr as they can call you in for an assessment straight away. They may still need to wait few days for scan but when I went in they examined my cervix to confirm the bleeding wasnt active from there and that gave me another little hope whilst waiting for scan. I remember the cramps being awful and losing what I thought was a lot of blood. I went to the scan completely not expecting to be pregnant. But just goes to show. Let us know how you get on. And I'm having a little boy x
