Help. I’m 5 weeks and bleeding. History of miscarriage. TMI picture included.

I’m panicking. I have a two year old and since him, I have had three miscarriages. One was a missed miscarriage and the other two were chemical pregnancies.

I’m 5 weeks pregnant and I’ve been bleeding lightly since I found out. It’s brown and pink, only when I wipe or “check” my cervix. Not enough for a pad.

I rang several drs who seem to think this is unimportant. No one will do my bloods but I’ve got a scan tomorrow.

I just found a spot of red. I’ve got no pain.

I am terrified it is happening again. Can someone tell me if this looks normal? I know it’s a bit disgusting but I’m terrified.

Had this with both mine at 5/6 weeks. I was worried and rang the mw and got an early scan. They were fine. Hope it's all ok

That’s a very small bleed, and worrying for you, but common in early pregnancy and not necessarily indicative of a problem. Plenty of people with spotting like that have healthy pregnancies. Good luck

Looks exactly like the bleeding I had at 6-7 weeks I had in both pregnancies. 1st one was the beginning of a miscarriage and 2nd was not known, probably implantation bleeding. I had steaks of blood at around 6 weeks during this pregnancy and was convinced that it was another miscarriage, but I'm now 9 months pregnant and due on Friday. Unfortunately you cannot do anything and it's a waiting game.

Unfortunately no one can tell you until you have a scan/bloods what is happening.

What I can say is I have two healthy children. During both pregnancies I had early bleeding, heavy enough to be a light period. Around 4-5 weeks in fact if I didn't get regular hormonal migraines which where absent in pregnancies I wouldn't have realised I was pregnant with my seconed. That's what made me test, then my GP sent me for an early scan as a precaution due to my history.

I had a similar looking bleed with DS around the time when my period would have been due and everything was fine. I'd try and relax tonight if you can and fingers crossed everything goes well tomorrow.

I had a bleed with my dd. It was more and she is here and healthy.
Try to rest and keep your fluids up.

Thank you. I’m nervous because my last scan found a dead baby after a hb . Obviously it’ll be too early to see a baby yet but it’s almost traumatising

I had spotting exactly like yours with DD and my current pg, more than once for both. With DS I had a massive, heavy, clotty bleed at about 8w and then spotted for another month. This time round I had spotting like your photos at 4w, 8w, 10w - am now 25 weeks and all well. I’ve had mmc, DD, mmc, mc, DS, current pg, so I know full well the anxiety. But honestly OP, there is still a good chance that all is fine - bleeding like your photos is soooo common in pregnancy. Once you’ve experienced mc it’s impossible not to think the worst, but you have very very good odds still. Will you be getting an early scan for reassurance? I know they don’t help for very long (have also seen a good 8w hb, only to mmc) but it helps for a little bit. The whole early pregnancy thing is so shit though, for you.

Hello, I had two chemicals in a row and the third time began spotting again at 14dpo, I rushed to A&E and he did a urine test and said it was negative, he was useless, so the next day I went to see my own gp and she took bloods and made me wait a week, I still spotted but my hcg was about 90 then went to over 4000 so they scanned me, I was 5 weeks and just a sac! I was scanned again 10 days later and had still been spotting but all was growing well, I’m 13 weeks now and haven’t spotted since about 8-9weeks and still all going well in there

In total I bled for almost three weeks during my first trimester. Everything looked fine at the 12 week scan. Try not to worry. Fingers crossed for your scan.
