Don't know how to describe this but I have seen somewhere a stretch cotton flap that attaches to the front opening of your Jeans or Trousers therefore extending the life of them before you have to buy some disgusting stretch jersey trousers....

Any ideas....

Oh I've seen it too, think it's in one of the green catalogues....hang on, will have a trawl around.

My mum was talking about this on the phone last night. It's in Bump to Three apparently. It didn't sound remotely feasible to me, but I haven't actually seen it so I could be wrong.

Can't remember the exact name of it but i got one from bumpto3 although cant say i wore it that much. Am 32 weeks now and found that was OK if you had long top on otherwise looks like you can see your pants. Hoping it might be useful afterwards when struggling to get back into normal clothes!

Hope you manage to find it.

Just checked my link and it is called Belly Belt - click on Bump!

I couldn't find it anywhere - had a search on google - but now of course I remember it was in Bumpto3!

I got one, but tried it & then returned it as I didn't think it was that good - just felt like (& looked like) you'd forgotten to do your trousers up!!

I've got a "Belly Belt", I found it really good for mid-pregnancy when your regular clothers are a bit too tight for comfort but maternity clothes are too much like tents. It means you can stay in things that have a bit of shape to them for a bit longer.I didn't bother in late pg though, probably wouldn't buy it if I had my time over though. I only used it for about 6-8 weeks in each of my pgs

I got one but used it once or twice, your trousers need to be the right shape for it to work, doesn't really work on tailored trousers. Personally found it a waste of money. You also need to wear long tops with it.

It was useful in early pregnancy and for a while after the birth. Not very comfy on jeans but useful on looser trousers. I had a smartish skirt that fastened at the side - I wore that with the Belly Belt and a long top every time I had to dress up (not very often!). Its only the price of one extra pair of (cheap) trousers and means you can wear non-maternity clothes occasionally which makes you feel great.

However the best bit - use it to wear your jeans a week after the birth (with a long sweater); everyone will be sooo impressed!
